Privacy Policy
Who we are
This website is operated by RetroGrade (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what personal information we collect through this site, why, and the choices you have. At the moment the site is a holding page with a sign-up form for launch news, so we collect very little.
What we collect
If you join the launch list we collect your email address, your first name if you choose to give it, and a record of your consent (including the date and time). Like most web forms, the form also records the IP address and browser type used to submit it. Our web server keeps standard technical logs for security and troubleshooting. The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which analyses technical signals from your browser to tell people from bots.
How we use it
We use your details only to send you news about RetroGrade and its launch, and to run and secure this site. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
Who handles it for us
We rely on service providers to operate the site: web hosting and email delivery (our hosting provider, Bluehost), and spam protection (Cloudflare, Inc.). They handle your information only to provide those services. Some of them operate in the United States and elsewhere, so your information may be processed outside Canada, where it may be accessible to authorities under local laws.
Cookies
This page does not use advertising or analytics cookies. The spam-protection service may use cookies or similar technology strictly for security.
How long we keep it
We keep launch-list details until you unsubscribe or withdraw your consent, and we delete the list within 12 months after launch. We may keep a minimal record that you gave or withdrew consent, for as long as needed to demonstrate compliance with the law.
Your choices and rights
You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email we send, or by writing to [email protected]. You can also ask us to confirm what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Canadian law
We handle personal information in line with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA). We send commercial electronic messages only with consent, identify ourselves in each message, and include a working unsubscribe mechanism, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site develops. The current version is always on this page.
